I have been listening back to the refrain/hook of our advent hymn off the upcoming record (yet to be titled….both the song and the record). I absolutely love the way this song is coming together!!! the lyric of the refrain/hook:
he will come / he will come and save us / he will come / come and save us from our sins
I am super pleased with how our room mic, figure-eight technique was able to capture the nuances of the song in our rehearsals at cape cod. So very excited to lay down this song in the studio and have it heard by your lovely pair of ears.
Coming off of christmas and new years, I am reminded that we are still in a time of waiting…a time of advent. We await the glorious return of the One who came to save us from our sins. We await His return to bring full consummation and restoration to humanity and to creation.
